Privacy policy
How Wavestack collects, uses and protects your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Last updated: 18 October 2026
1. Who is responsible
Wavestack, a sole proprietorship based on the East Rand, Gauteng, is responsible for the personal information you give us. Our Information Officer is the owner of Wavestack. You can reach them on WhatsApp at +27 78 621 8375 or by email at info@wavestack.co.za.
2. What we collect
We only collect what we need to quote, sell and deliver to you:
- Your name or company name, phone number and email address.
- Your delivery address.
- Order details, such as your printer model, the items you want and your quotes and invoices.
- Artwork, logos, wording and files you send us for printing. For grave boards and memorial plaques, this may include names and dates of the deceased.
- Proof of payment. We do not collect or store card details.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your enquiries and send quotes and invoices.
- To process payment, prepare your order and print your job.
- To arrange delivery.
- To handle warranty claims, returns and complaints.
- To keep financial records, as the law requires.
We do not sell your information. We will only send you promotions if you ask us to, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We share only what's needed, with:
- Courier companies, so they can deliver your order.
- Our suppliers and print partners, only where needed to fill your order. For example, a printer model or artwork file.
- The online store platform that runs our device catalogue, when you buy a computer there. That platform has its own privacy terms.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Our conversations with you take place on WhatsApp and email, which are run by third-party providers with their own privacy policies.
5. How long we keep it
We keep order and invoice records for 5 years, as tax law requires. Print artwork is kept for up to 12 months so we can reprint for you, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Enquiries that don't lead to an order are deleted after 12 months.
6. Keeping it safe
We keep your information on password-protected devices and accounts, limit who can see it, and delete it when it's no longer needed.
7. Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you may object to us using it. Message us on WhatsApp or email us, and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
8. This website
Our website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and does not ask you to create an account. The quote and enquiry forms don't store anything on our website. They open WhatsApp with your message filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
